Get the right build
Use the official Wayfarer downloads page. The Windows build is a portable ZIP for Windows 10/11 x64. Android 8+ uses an early testing APK; review the guidance on the official site before trying it.

Start on Windows
Extract the complete ZIP into its own folder, keep the files together, then run the application from that extracted folder. Running from inside the ZIP can leave required files unavailable.
Update a beta build
Check the official download page for the current version and release notes. Close the browser before replacing application files and follow the instructions for that release. Keep a backup of important data before making changes.
When something goes wrong
Record the build version, your Windows or Android version, and the steps that reproduce the problem. For page issues, include the website address when it can be shared publicly. Describe whether it also happens in a fresh session.
Accounts and sync
Wayfarer accounts are optional and used for sync. Describe the affected feature in your support request, but never send a password, recovery code or authentication token.
