CommandLink development begins: your team, connected.

Our new WordPress command center brings configurable incident briefs, command updates, shared communications and personnel availability to fire, EMS and search and rescue teams. Windows and Android companions are planned.

CommandLink development has begun at Hamelton Software. The product is being built as a premium, self-hosted WordPress command center for fire services, emergency medical teams, search and rescue groups and mixed emergency service organizations.

The project grows from an earlier KVEC login placeholder into a broader product: a shared internal space where authorized personnel can follow operational information and team conversations when internet access is available.

A modular foundation.

The first working build, 0.1.0, includes an incident board, command updates, shared communication channels and self-reported personnel availability. Administrators can enable the modules their organization needs, select shared channels and choose discipline terminology.

Command personnel can publish incident briefings and instructions and change incident status. Responders can review those records, post channel messages and update their own availability.

Desktop and mobile browsers.

The command center uses a responsive standalone interface. Its navigation, cards and forms adapt to smaller screens. Connection status and the last successful refresh time help personnel recognize when displayed information may be outdated.

Access controls from the start.

The foundation uses explicit WordPress personnel capabilities, server-side feature and permission checks, validated plain text, escaped rendering, private response headers and write audit records. These are implemented controls, not a claim that production security review is complete.

Independent security assessment, MFA and SSO integration, protected documents, finer audience controls, load testing and field pilots remain part of release preparation.

Companion applications are planned.

Windows and Android clients are part of the product direction. The connection design starts with an organization-specific installation URL or pairing QR, followed by authenticated device access to the versioned API. Native apps have not been released.

Other planned areas include crews and assignments, acknowledgements, duty scheduling, equipment readiness, training reminders, a protected document library, notifications and scoped integrations.

Proposed retail pricing.

Our suggested launch target is $39 USD per month or $399 USD per year for one organization and production WordPress installation. Annual billing would save $69 compared with twelve monthly payments. These prices are proposals, may change before launch and are not active purchase offers. Hosting remains separate.

Development status.

This build is a local development preview, tested with fictional exercise data. It is not ready for emergency operational deployment. Updates currently poll the server; push delivery, guaranteed acknowledgements, offline delivery, patient-record workflows and CAD integration are not part of this preview.

CommandLink is intended to support established radio procedures. Product updates will distinguish working capabilities from planned features as development continues.
